John,
Thank you to everyone who joined our Couch Party 2.0 last night! I had so much fun MCing the event and I hope you had fun, too.
Over 24,000 people RSVP'd to the Couch Party 2.0, more than 65,000 joined from their couches all over the country, and together we texted 113,000 eligible voters. That's incredible! And of course -- DJ D-Nice and our co-chairs Michelle Obama, Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson made this event one for the books.
If you were on last night's call, you know how urgent our work is. We have to keep up the momentum all the way through November 3rd. Election Day will be here before we know it, and with so much uncertainty in the world right now, we must ensure our elections are safe and fair for everyone.
No one should have to choose between casting their ballot and having their voices heard or keeping themselves and their family safe. It's also our responsibility to advocate for fair and safe access to our elections, including expanding access to vote by mail, early voting, and online voter registration.
Join us and take our pledge to fight for fair and safe elections.
Like Michelle Obama said, "If we ensure that every eligible voter in this country can make their voice heard -- then there is no limit to what we can accomplish in the years ahead and for generations to come." We're in this fight together and we can't do it without you. We know that when it comes to helping our friends and family get registered and ready to vote, we're the best people for the job. We can't stop now!
Voting is not and never will be a partisan issue and it's our responsibility to help all voters exercise their right to vote, and to give them the best information on exactly how to do that.
Thanks for all you do.
Stephanie
