Former President Trump has just announced that U.S. Senator J.D. Vance from Ohio will be his running mate in 2024.
Vance – a former never-Trumper turned MAGA loyalist – has fully embraced some of the most extreme MAGA policies: [1]
- An election denier who pushes the Big Lie that the 2020 election was stolen from Trump.
- Supports the Project 2025 plan to purge the federal civil service of all employees who are unwilling to demonstrate their loyalty to Trump.
- Has peddled the racist “great replacement theory” often pushed by white nationalists in attacking immigration. Vance has described immigration as an “invasion” that replaces “real”—read, white Christian—Americans.
