Administration Appointments

TOPEKA— *Today, Governor Laura Kelly announced eight appointments to the following state boards, councils, and committee.

*_Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board
_*Purpose: To protect the public’s health, safety, and welfare from unlawful or unprofessional practitioners who fall under the boards’ jurisdiction.


* Denise Cyzman, Lawrence

*_Kansas Council on Developmental Disabilities
_*Purpose: To advocate for change to increase productivity, independence, integration, and inclusion of people with developmental disabilities in Kansas communities.


* Anita Breen, Clay Center
* Sarah Mai, Mission

*_Kansas Board of Healing Arts
_*Purpose: To regulate 11 health care professions and to ensure these health care professionals meet and maintain certain qualifications to protect the public from incompetent practice, unprofessional conduct, and other proscribed behavior by individuals who have credentials to practice in Kansas.


* Donna Sweet, Wichita
* Vernon Mills, Leavenworth
* Richard Bradbury, Salina (reappointment)

*_Juvenile Justice Oversight Committee
_*Purpose: To oversee the implementation of reform measures intended to improve the state's juvenile justice system.


* Randy Regehr, Buhler

*_Coordinating Council on Early Childhood Developmental Services
_*Purpose: To solicit information and opinions from concerned agencies, groups and individuals on proposed policies and recommendations for the delivery of health, education, and social services for young children from birth through age five with or at risk for disabling conditions and for their families.
