Enter Polaris’s Case Response Specialists (CRS): experienced staff who review and follow up in ongoing situations. This team builds on the frontline work of Hotline Advocates, sustaining support for victims and survivors beyond the first call for help.
We’ve shared how long that journey to freedom really is. And we’ve highlighted how federal funding only accounts for 35% of what we need to operate the Hotline — including critical CRS coverage.
When you make a monthly donation of any amount, you support victims and survivors through Polaris programs, including the CRS team’s efforts to:
Fill Gaps in Service Access: When victims and survivors need somewhere safe to stay or help getting to their safe location, CRS arranges ride shares, hotel stays, and flights through in-kind donations from hospitality and travel partners.
Inform and Assist Investigations: Where required or requested, CRS follows up with law enforcement to share information for investigations, especially in complex cases. Our first priority is to advocate for victims and survivors and coordinate their support.
Connect Survivors to Longer-term Help: CRS provides victims and survivors with the resources and documentation to apply for legal status and federal aid, such as T visas for victims of trafficking, or public benefits for children trafficked from other countries.
