Big News: DC’s Office of Campaign Finance has announced a formal investigation into the Recall Committee, their supposedly independent SuperPAC, and the DC Republican Party for breaking the District’s campaign finance laws, improper expenditures, and illegal coordination. It’s a big deal, and a formal recognition of the recall committee’s flagrant disregard of the law and it highlights what’s really at stake. Over the last couple of months, we’ve called out the recall campaign for breaking DC campaign finance laws, and illegally coordinating with the Republican Party and SuperPACs - all in support of their effort to overturn our most recent Ward 6 election. And now authorities are taking notice.

But while the recall committee may be under investigation, that doesn’t mean they’re letting up. And they’re using big outside money and the backing of the Republican Party itself to try to collect signatures. They only have four weeks left to force a costly and wasteful series of special elections in Ward 6, and frankly, the Office of Campaign Finance won’t stop them in time. The stakes are high, and we need you now more than ever for this final push. How can you fight back? Take these two steps:
