In times of crisis, we ought to be able to look to our President for strong leadership, reassurance, facts, and answers. Instead, we’ve gotten a botched federal response, late-night tweetstorms, and chaotic briefings chock-full of misinformation.
The White House is projecting chaos — and Donald Trump’s actions are still costing lives and livelihoods across the country. But that’s not all.
Today, the Trump administration is using Wisconsin as a political backdrop for a Mike Pence photo-op in my hometown of Madison as this public health and economic crisis still rages on in our communities.
Pence’s visit isn’t just too little too late — it’s downright insulting to our workers on the frontlines of this crisis. And it sure as heck won’t change the fact that this administration’s sheer incompetence and failure to handle this pandemic has cost countless lives and jobs.
As you know, Wisconsin was the state that gave Trump and Pence the White House in 2016, and they won it by less than a percentage point. This November, we have the potential to determine who wins the presidency again. That’s why this administration is using our state to advance their political spectacle.
I am doing whatever it takes to make sure Wisconsin stays out of their hands. So, I’m asking if you’ll add a donation toward our effort to flip Wisconsin all the way blue, and send Trump and Pence packing. I would not ask if I didn’t think it was critically important.

The facts speak for themselves. President Trump closed the White House pandemic office. He dragged his feet after experts sounded the alarm. He downplayed the threat — calling it a “problem that’s going to go away.” He failed to make widespread testing available to contain the spread of the coronavirus.
And when states like Wisconsin faced medical supply shortages, Trump attacked leaders like Governor Evers and refused to use his authority to provide our health care workers with the equipment they need to protect themselves, test and treat patients, and save lives.
Now, our communities are hurting. Our small businesses are suffering. Our health care workers are struggling. And hundreds of thousands of Wisconsin workers have filed for unemployment.
It didn’t have to be this way. If this crisis has taught us anything, it’s that leadership, experience, and judgment matter.
We saw it right here in Wisconsin when the Republicans forced folks to choose between their health and their right to vote. And we’re seeing it every day with this administration’s stunning failure of a response to this pandemic.
That’s why I’m asking you to add a contribution of any amount meaningful to you to make sure Trump and Pence don’t win Wisconsin again and secure a second term in the White House. This is too important to sit out.

Lives are at stake here. And I will be doing everything I can to make sure Wisconsinites and Americans across the country have the leadership they deserve — especially in times of crisis.
Thank you,
Tammy
