Dear Friend, The Paycheck Protection Program has been a critical program to help small businesses keep workers on their payrolls. Thousands of businesses have been given aid and kept their workers on the payroll, but now it needs more funding to help even more. We are trying to get this done as quickly as possible but Nancy Pelosi and her caucus keep playing games. Yesterday, the co-chair of the Progressive Caucus, Rep. Pramila Jayapal actually said “We have real concerns about giving away leverage now without getting some of the priorities that we need” And AOC and her squad of course are doing everything they can to pressure Nancy Pelosi to get their liberal wish list done. AOC actually called hundreds of billions of dollars for small business relief a “$5 dollar bill” that she won’t support and also celebrated millions of workers being laid off as an opportunity to pass her radical Green New Deal. This is absolutely outrageous. Our workers need relief NOW. Nancy Pelosi has held up relief aid time and time again to try and pass her radical agenda. She and her colleagues like AOC have made COVID-19 all about politics when our families, workers, and small businesses need help the most. This is politics at its worst and we cannot let them get away with this. Help us send Nancy Pelosi and AOC a message that we won’t let their recklessness go unanswered. Together we will make sure they stop playing these disgusting political games and force them to get back to work for hard working Americans.
