Take action: Build a better future

Hi John –

Lately, I spend a lot of time worrying. My mother lives in a care facility in New Jersey, struggling with Alzheimer's disease. Every day, a part of me is waiting for scary news to strike.

I know you have a lot to worry about right now, too. But we can still find strength in our collective action, standing together to solve the world’s biggest problems. Because the worst of times brings out the best in us.

When I called on EDF supporters to send 50,000 messages to Congress by Earth Day, telling them to ensure we rebuild better, you rose to the call and hit that goal a full week early. So we’ve raised the stakes – and our goal – to 100,000.

But according to my records, your name is still missing! Make sure Congress hears from you, before it's too late.

Take action

We need the power of this community. Because as Americans – and the world – move past this crisis, Congress will consider how to give a boost to our economy that will empower us to rebuild and put people back to work.

Our first priority must be caring for those who are sick, limiting the spread of the virus, and protecting those suffering the dire economic consequences of this crisis.

But as Congress makes investments in our future, they must build a better one – where less pollution is pumped into our air, everyone’s water is clean and safe to drink, and all communities are equally protected from the dangers of environmental degradation.

This Earth Day, add your name to tens of thousands of others, and tell Congress: Let's build a better future.

Take action

Thank you for standing with us,

Heather Shelby
