Ladies and Gentlemen,
First, the Secret Service says "THE PRESIDENT IS SAFE".
It is with a heavy heart that I come before you today to inform you of a tragic and deeply troubling event. There has been an apparent attack on our former President and current Republican Presidential Candidate Donald Trump at a campaign rally in Pennsylvania. Our thoughts and prayers are with him and his family during this challenging time. We pray for his swift recovery and for strength and comfort for his loved ones. Let us also thank the Secret Service for their swift and courageous actions surrounding the former President and getting him to safety. As they were escorting him to safety, the former President was raising his fist in the air to reassure the audience. We pray those in the audience that were effected.
In moments like these, it is crucial that we come together as a nation. Let us also pray for our country, that we may find peace and unity in the face of such adversity. We must remain steadfast in our commitment to the values that define us—compassion, respect, and a steadfast dedication to justice and OUR REPUBLIC.
It is no secret that the opposing political party leadership have been relentless in spreading toxic hate toward our candidates. This kind of rhetoric is not only divisive but dangerous, as it ultimately leads to criminal behavior and the potential for destruction. We must stand firm against such hatred and remember that as Americans we are better than this.
We, as a community, do not condone political violence; we trust that the person or persons responsible will be held accountable. Our actions and words reflect our commitment to building a society rooted in mutual respect. It is this commitment that will guide us through these dark times and help us emerge stronger and more united.
Let us come together in peace and solidarity, reaffirming our dedication to the American principles that make our city, state and nation great. Together, we can overcome hate with love, violence with peace, and division with unity.
May we all find strength and resolve in our shared commitment to a better, more harmonious future. GOD BLESS FORMER PRESIDENT TRUMP AND THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.
