Team,

Donald Trump has been campaigning heavily in Michigan, visiting 6 times in the last 13 months. Back in May, he used his platform to prop up Republican Senate candidate Mike Rogers. In doing so, he attacked Elissa by name, calling her “far-left liberal lunatic Slotkin” and going through a slew of Trumpian lies about what Elissa believes, says, and does.

Once Trump attacked Elissa, it was like the bat signal went out: the floodgates opened and we saw new attack ads on TV, online, in the mail, and of course from individuals on social media.

Now, in order to promote Mike Rogers ahead of his August 6th competitive primary, a dark money super PAC has bought new TV ads across the state using Trump’s “left liberal lunatic” attack to uplift Rogers and drag down Elissa. Take a look:

DONATE NOW

An ad like this is designed to energize the most restive of the Republican base ahead of their primary. But it acts as a win-win for Rogers, because this kind of direct attack on Elissa could impact how voters — particularly those swing voters — think about her in November.

We’ve done a lot of groundwork to introduce Elissa to voters by airing our own TV ads, knocking doors, and attending events in communities across the state.

But all of that takes resources. And believe it or not, the majority of our contributions come from emails and texts just like this one.

And this super PAC has already spent and reserved over $3 million on TV ads, and they’re up in the 5 major media markets of the state. It’s a clear signal that they’re willing to spend whatever it takes to influence this election.

We need to not only match that energy, but exceed it with grassroots support.

So if holding this Senate seat and the Senate for Democrats feels like it would be worth $3 to you, that is the donation we’re asking you to make to Elissa’s campaign today. Can you chip in now to help us fight back and keep Michigan blue?

If you've stored your info with ActBlue, we'll process your contribution instantly:

Thank you,
Team Slotkin
