James, it’s not
inflation when corporations are raking in record profits.

Last year, corporate profits hit a record high of $2.8 TRILLION after
taxes — all while charging outrageously high prices for gas, rent, food,
and prescription drugs.

This level of greed is disgusting, and Americans are sick of getting
ripped off!

Bernie Sanders is sick of it too, and has just introduced legislation for
a 95 percent windfall tax on the excessive profits of large corporations
that are using inflation as an excuse to charge the American people
outrageous prices.

Had this been in effect in 2023, it would have raised an estimated $300
billion in one year from ten of the largest corporations alone!

While we pay more for the necessities of life, big corporations are
spending record amounts on buying back their own stocks with their excess
profits.

In fact, corporations spent $4.4 TRILLION on stock buybacks this past year
— that’s 7x more than they paid in taxes!

Bernie and our progressive movement have successfully put this issue on
the table in Washington and made it popular with the majority of
Americans. Let’s keep pushing for a win against corporate greed!
