It was a busy week, but I’m back to keep you in the loop on how I am fighting for our conservative values.
House Democrats revealed their true agenda: they don’t care about the rule of law or the integrity of our elections. This week, the majority of Democrats voted against the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) Act, legislation that closes a loophole by simply requiring proof of U.S. citizenship to register to vote in federal elections. There is absolutely no rational basis for opposing this. Illegal immigrants do not have the right to vote. Period. End of story. But my Democrat colleagues want to open the floodgates and let illegals hijack our elections.
This is exactly why Americans are losing faith in our elections, and why I am on the front lines fighting to restore its integrity. I not only voted AYE on the SAVE Act, but I also proudly co-sponsored legislation to strengthen election integrity measures, including mandatory photo ID requirements. My Republican colleagues and I will continue working for free, fair, and secure elections.
I joined 12 members of the Minnesota and North Dakota congressional delegations in a letter to the United States Postal Service (USPS) about serious delays and staffing shortages affecting mail delivery in the Minnesota-North Dakota District. In just two days, an investigation revealed over 130,000 pieces of delayed mail and significant staffing issues. Our nation's mail carrier owes us top-notch service. As such, I am demanding immediate action from USPS to implement crucial recommendations for better staffing and improved service. Additionally, I've requested monthly updates to monitor progress and ensure that these improvements are implemented.
As a leading voice for life in Congress, I am honored to again be endorsed by National Right to Life, the nation’s premier pro-life organization.
