Asking for your hard-earned money is my least favorite part about running for Congress. It’s true! I’m sure you get a lot of annoying fundraising emails, not just from me and my team. 

This isn’t one of those crazy fundraising emails, and when you hear from me and my team, we’re not going to scare you into donating.

I know you’re not an ATM. You see, I want you to know that I’m grateful for every contribution we receive, and I also realize the importance of respecting your time and inbox. 

But just like all the other campaigns in your inbox, we do have fundraising goals and deadlines. In a race as close as this one, it really is small-dollar donations (to emails just like this!) that make the biggest difference and allow us to make critical investments in our campaign. 

The reality is that we’re up against an opponent who’s funded by deep-pocketed Republicans who are pouring millions of dollars into this race, and we’re relying on the strength of this grassroots team. 

I hope this email reassured you enough to convince you to chip in $3, or whatever you can afford, to my campaign today. If you can’t make a donation today, that’s okay too! I still appreciate you taking the time to read these emails from me and my team.
