WRAPPING UP A WEEK OF CELEBRATIONS
On Saturday, July 6, Gov. Hogan attended the Havre de Grace 4th of July Parade. This was his final Independence Day celebration with Marylanders after a week of attending parades across the state.

STANDING WITH FIRST RESPONDERS

On Tuesday, July 9, Gov. Hogan sent an open letter to Prince George’s County Executive Alsobrooks urging her to reverse her policy of reallocating all professional firefighters away from the Greenbelt Fire Department to account for staffing shortages and underfunding.

Gov. Hogan: “As a result of chronic underfunding, career firefighters have been relocated from the Greenbelt Fire Department to four stations across Prince George’s County. This will double response times and put an unfair burden on our volunteer firefighters who are already severely understaffed.

Today I sent an open letter to County Executive Alsobrooks to affirm my solidarity with first responders in Prince George’s County and express my concern over the dysfunction that is putting public safety at risk.

Ensuring our first responders have the resources they need is not just a priority, but a necessity.”

full letter here.
That afternoon, Gov. Hogan met with members of IAFF Local 1664 Montgomery County Career Fire Fighters in Silver Spring to thank them for their service to their fellow Marylanders.

Gov. Hogan: “In the Senate, one of my highest priorities will be continuing to support our firefighters and first responders in every region of our state.”

CONNECTING WITH MARYLANDERS

On Tuesday night, Gov. Hogan held a Teletown Hall to hear directly from Marylanders and discuss affordability issues they are facing every day.

Gov. Hogan: “Thank you to the thousands of Marylanders who participated in our Teletown Hall tonight!

It was wonderful to speak with voters one on one about a wide range of topics surrounding affordability, inflation, and the cost of living.”

SUPPORTING SMALL BUSINESS OWNERS

On Wednesday, July 10, Gov. Hogan stopped at Capistrano Barbershop in Annapolis and saw owner Faraj Capistrano, who gave the governor a clean shave!

Gov. Hogan: “We need strong, independent leadership to fight for small business owners, like Faraj, and Marylanders who are now burdened by tax increases on a wide range of goods and services—including haircuts. That’s what I did for eight years, and it is exactly what I’ll do in the United States Senate.”

PRESS CONFERENCE

On Thursday, July 11, Gov. Hogan held a press conference in Prince George’s County to discuss crime, immigration, and public safety issues.

Now more than ever, we need leaders to stand up to the party bosses and the loudest, angriest, most extreme voices to keep our communities safe.

We urgently need common sense solutions to keep our communities safe–and that’s exactly what Gov. Hogan put forward in his press conference.

GRADUATION REMARKS

On Thursday evening in Prince George’s County, Gov. Hogan was honored to address the members of the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) of Metro Washington CraftMasters Training Trust graduating class of 2024, who have completed their four years of apprenticeship training across a variety of trades.

Gov. Hogan: “I want to thank ABC for the incredible work you do every single day to produce apprenticeships and to help Marylanders access careers in the construction industry. Growing our economy goes hand-in-hand with a flourishing workforce, and the work of Maryland's trades and construction workers is absolutely critical to the fabric of our state.

Congratulations to the members of the 2024 graduating class!"

A Personal Message from Governor Larry Hogan:
[link removed]

Hi, it’s Governor Larry Hogan.

When I launched my campaign for the U.S. Senate, I did so with a deep resolve to maintain the leadership style and principles that guided me during my eight years as governor.

Fifty years ago, my father, Maryland Congressman Larry Hogan Sr. made a tough decision. He became the first Republican to come out for the impeachment of President Nixon. He put aside party politics and his own personal considerations and stepped up to do the right thing for Maryland and the nation.

Today, Washington is completely broken because that kind of leadership and willingness to put country over party has become far too rare. But it’s not in my nature to sit back and watch the dysfunction continue without doing what I can to roll up my sleeves and get to work.

I’m under no illusion this will be an easy road. But I’m no stranger to uphill battles, and I know I can’t do it without your support.

I don't aspire to be a United States senator. I don’t need a title and I don’t need a job, but I’m more concerned than ever about the direction of the country and I have become more convinced that I can make a difference by taking the approach and style of leadership I had during my eight years as governor to Washington.

It’s no surprise this mindset has made me a target of the Washington partisans. Despite early polls showing a lead, I know I’m the underdog in this race. And that’s why your support TODAY is so crucial.

[link removed]
So if you can chip in a donation of $25 or more, it will go a long way in helping me continue building a strong campaign.

For eight years, we proved that the toxic politics that divide our nation didn’t need to divide our state, and we got results! Let’s get back to work again and send a message to Washington that will be heard loud and clear across the country!

[link removed]
Will you join me today and help end the dysfunction in Washington?
Thank you,

Larry Hogan
