Look, I’m not going to pretend that my re-election campaign exists in a vacuum. The last couple weeks have been incredibly stressful for everyone who cares about defending our democracy — and is invested in fighting for our fundamental freedoms at the ballot box this November.

But here’s something I know: the best way to deal with that stress is to take action — because there is a lot that is within our control.

Together, we can flip the House blue and stop the MAGA legislative agenda in its tracks.

We can replace Speaker Mike Johnson with Speaker Hakeem Jeffries, and ensure we have a pro-choice majority in Congress that will fight tooth and nail to defend our rights.

We can spend every single day between now and November getting our message out to voters in swing districts like mine — which MAGA Republicans are pouring money into because they know that they can’t hold onto the House this year unless they defeat me.

If we’re going to win this fight, it’s critical that we spend this summer building up our war chest — because we’re up against a millionaire self-funder in this race. But with only two days to go until our mid-month deadline, our July fundraising is off to a slow start. We need that to change ASAP.
