Together, let's demand a fair and accessible election in 2020!

Tell State Election Officials:

"We are facing one of the most consequential elections in our nation's history, and we must take action to make sure everyone has the chance to have their voice heard. Everyone must be able to vote by mail, poll workers must be effectively trained, and we must have proper funding on the state and local levels."

John,

We have an opportunity this fall to fundamentally change the direction of our country. Instead of policies that are hostile toward poor people, communities of color, immigrants and working people, we must empower people to fight for a future that includes all of us.

But to put our country on a new course, we need to ensure voting is accessible to everyone. Only then can we get Congress to place a priority on the needs of working families, low-income people and the vulnerable throughout the United States.

The good news: the 2020 election turnout rate is expected to be the largest in decades—with some predictions estimating that as many as two-thirds of all eligible voters may cast a ballot. The bad news: we are in the midst of a global pandemic and the ramifications on voting this fall could be far and wide.

The Wisconsin primary election earlier this month was a debacle. We saw packed polling locations, which conflicted with "stay at home" orders. We saw uncertainty and confusion. We cannot let that happen this fall!

Add your name! Let's demand a fair and accessible election in 2020!

Voting is the central component to what makes our democracy function. We need states and the federal government to ensure November's election is safe and fair. That means ensuring access to a Vote by Mail ballot to every voter in every state. It means creating an Election Day emergency preparedness plan. And it means proper funding and training on the state and local levels.

While the gears of our democracy need both attention and a financial investment, there are those in Washington, DC and across the country that want to maintain a status quo that puts corporate greed over human needs. And right now, they’re finding ways to use the COVID-19 pandemic to funnel money to corporations, not to people or our democracy.

We are not going to let that continue. We are going to make sure everyone has the ability to have their vote cast, and we are going to change the focus of Congress from one that prioritizes the needs of America's biggest businesses to one that focuses on America's most vulnerable people.

SIGN NOW! Together, let's stand with our allies across the country and demand that our elections are fair and accessible.

Thank you,
