BREAKING: Mississippi State Legislative Districts Ruled Illegal Under the Voting Rights Act
In a huge victory for fair representation, a federal court found Mississippi’s 2022 legislative maps diluted the Black voting strength by preventing Black Mississippians from participating equally in the political process.
Now, the state must create THREE new Black-majority districts!
Mississippi is a deeply red state with systems built off of generations of institutionalized white supremacy that continue to suppress the right to vote.
