We set all of our fundraising targets and goals around sustaining the budget we need to build a winning campaign.

Speaking of fundraising goals — our first fundraising deadline of the quarter is coming up this Monday. And we’re just $7,650 short of our goal.

Right now, maybe even as you’re reading this email , we’re shooting our first campaign TV ad of the cycle. We can’t wait to show voters what our campaign is about and why Pat is ready to keep working in Congress to help the people of the Hudson Valley.

But airing the ad of the cycle is going to be extremely costly. This might come as a surprise, but despite being nearly 2 hours from Manhattan, our district is in the NYC media market — the most expensive in the country — but we can’t win without being up on the airwaves. That means we need a lot of resources to get our message out, plain and simple.
