The study confirms what we have long known: air pollution kills. But it is not an equal opportunity killer. It harms the most vulnerable — people of color and low-income communities that are more often impacted by highways, power plants, refineries, and other sources of air pollution.
NRDC, our sister organization, is fighting back in court against Trump's attempts to exempt Big Polluters from requirements to monitor and report dangerous air pollution. And both organizations are fighting back against his rollback of the Obama administration's landmark emissions and fuel efficiency standards that have reduced massive amounts of toxic air and climate pollution from the nation's cars and trucks.
But the only way to permanently protect our environment — and our health — from Donald Trump is to end his presidency — and that's work only the NRDC Action Fund can do.
