Let’s be clear: It is one of the foundational principles of our system of justice that no one is above the law.

That was the case until the United States Supreme Court granted Donald Trump wide-reaching immunity for his actions as president.

As a former prosecutor and district attorney, I know this is a big deal.

In Donald Trump, we have a candidate who has openly said he will be a dictator on day one and that he will weaponize the Department of Justice against his political enemies. And it is very likely that he could be immune from those kind of acts.

Immune.

We have to take seriously the stakes of this election.

The Donald Trump running for office right now is not the same one that we ran against in 2020. He is more unhinged. He is more dangerous. And he has nothing to lose.

If Donald Trump wins four more years in the White House, not even the courts will hold him back. It’s what he wanted. It’s why he hand-picked three justices for the Court who helped deliver this decision.

How we respond in this moment matters. This is not an exaggeration: Supporters like you are the only thing standing between Donald Trump winning in November, so we need you to rush any amount to power our campaign to hold him accountable at the ballot box.

Donald Trump has shown us who he is.

Look at what happened at the debate. Trump lied over and over and over again as he is wont to do.

He proudly took responsibility for robbing women of their freedom to make decisions about what happens to their own bodies.
He would not disavow what happened on January 6.
He refused to commit to accepting the election results this November.

We cannot let him win four more years in the White House. If he does, there will be nothing holding him back.
