The corporate media has been falling down on the job for years, backing
off covering any stories that might upset their advertisers and parent
companies.
The climate emergency, massive wealth inequality, Wall Street
corruption, the death of labor unions—there are no more important issues
affecting American society, but they either get ignored or buried on
inside pages.
Just as the pandemic has exposed the shocking failures in our
health-care system and social safety net, it has also revealed the
failure of the corporate media to hold government and corporations
accountable.
