John,

This is big. The new Environment Secretary has listed the five priorities for his department.

Give the video a watch 👇

Yes, you heard it right John.

Cleaning up our rivers, lakes and seas is at number one, with a circular economy, meaning plastic, second on the list. 🙌

Fighting these issues is at the very core of Surfers Against Sewage's campaigning and community activism. So let's all take a moment to celebrate - our movement really is making waves ✊🌊

This epic news tops off a wild few weeks at SAS, with our nationwide election bus tour coming straight off the back of our biggest Paddle-Out Protest ever. It's been full-on.

But the only thing that matters is our impact. And, right now, it's clear that our tactics are working and we are making those in power stop, listen and act against the polluters.

And now we've got something to ask you.

We're a charity. And that means our campaigns, resources, tools and our successes are only made possible by those that fund us.

So, John, we're asking if you will help protect the UK's wild waters by becoming an SAS member, today?

YES! I will help fund your ocean-saving campaigns 🙌 [[link removed]]

Let's be clear, John, the window for change is cracked open.

A new government, new ministers, new MPs, are all wanting to make their mark. And sewage and plastic pollution is at the top of the agenda. But this opportunity won't last for long.

Together, our campaigns have got us to this tipping point. Now we need another push to help us get over the line. So let's kick-start the renewal of our wild waters and the end of the profiteering polluters.

John, for as little as a cup of coffee a month, will you join us?

Yes, sign me up as a member 🙋‍♀️ [[link removed]]

Thank you so much for your support - whether you're able to join or not.

Our successes are shared successes and we couldn't do what we do without you.

For the ocean,

Dani, Director of Campaigns & Communities 🌊
