SCJ Wrap-Up
With no business scheduled for the second day of the South Central Jurisdictional Conference, the schedule was filled with salutes to retiring bishops, various reports and “LED Talks,” the jurisdiction’s version of TED Talks. The Great Plains Conference will host the South Central Jurisdictional Conference for 2028 at Resurrection, a United Methodist Church, at its Leawood campus. Bishop David Wilson made the announcement near the close of the 2024 jurisdictional conference. The dates will be set by the Council of Bishops for the five jurisdictions in the United States, which have their conferences simultaneously.
