In less than 24 hours two federal judges gave a victory for girls in the state of Texas!  Last night, Carroll ISD won in legal battle against the Biden Administration's Title IX rewrite. Federal Judge Reed O’Connor issued an injunction against the Biden administration. Carroll ISD who is represented by Alliance Defending Freedom, filed a lawsuit in May against the recently published Title IX rule that redefines "sex" to Include "gender identity".

This is a huge victory for Texas Girls to protect them in sports, locker rooms, showers, and scholarships. This is also a victory for Texas parents because the rule would have told teachers to hide gender transitions of students from their parents. Click here to read more on our press release.  

Today, the Biden administration  and the US Department of Education took another big loss on the Title IX rewrite!  Federal District Court Judge Matthew Kacsmaryk just issued an injunction against the rule in Texas. This makes Texas the 15th state with an injunction against this Rule. 

Mary Elizabeth Castle, Director of Government Relations for Texas Values said:

“Texas courts have given the Biden Administration a double-punch, knock-out victory for our girls in Texas. The new Title IX rule was clearly erroneous and would have deprived women and girls in our state of civil rights protections that have been in place for over 50 years. Today, the federal government learned an important lesson: you don’t mess with Texas girls.”

Texas Values has been working with the Southlake community by holding a press conference and encouraging parents and students in Carroll ISD to testify at a school board meeting in support of Carroll ISD taking on the Biden administration. Your Texas Values team was also present at the court hearing for the Carroll ISD lawsuit in Fort Worth on Monday.

Since last year, we have been giving you details on how the Biden administration was planning to destroy Title IX. - Direct teachers to hide gender transition of kids from their parents

- Criminalize using the wrong pronoun by classifying it as sexual harassment

- Give kids as young as elementary school age access to information about abortion
