Hey y’all, I know it might seem like we’ve been quiet — or maybe not, with everything that’s going on. Rest assured, I’m grateful to report that we’re healthy and that over the last 5 weeks we’ve entirely shifted our campaign to meet the challenges of a world where social distancing is the new normal. Our focus has been reaching out to Texans across the district and connecting them with the resources they need.

I know for many of our fellow Texans, for many of you, these last few weeks have been devastating. Millions of Americans are losing their jobs and their health care. People are hurting, and it's a hurt I know all too well.

It’s hard for me to not be able to meet with people in person right now, especially in times as challenging as these. But come hell or high water, we need to stay connected. And I’m grateful that so many people are reaching out and sharing their stories, and helping us get them connected with what they need.

This crisis has exposed just how fragile the economy already was for millions of Americans. The jig is up; the bottom has fallen out.

Now more than ever, Austin and Central Texas deserve a representative who will show up, listen, and work for all of us, not just the well-connected. And that starts with making sure the values we’re fighting for as a campaign are aligned with yours.
