RAISE FUNDS TO HELP WOMEN & GIRLS ([link removed] )
John,
This National Volunteer Week, I want to take a moment to say thanks.
I am grateful to each and every one of you for supporting our work. Whether you've volunteered with our programs, made a gift, signed a petition, or simply enjoyed our content, you've played a part in helping us meeting the needs of thousands of women and girls.
There's this quote by William James that I often turn to when I am feeling alone. It goes:
“We are like islands in the sea, separate on the surface but connected in the deep.”
Even as we physically distance from one another, I am reminded of the deep connections we share.
Every virtual exchange with a loved one, every gentle smile from behind the mask of a stranger at the store, every story of how our health care workers, teachers, grocery store employees, delivery persons, leaders, and volunteers are performing bravely to keep society afloat… to me, this highlights the best parts of our humanity. That is, our resilience. Our kindness. And our togetherness.
Although our world is undergoing a horrific health crisis, we are united in a fight for lives and for our collective humanity.
Yes, things are changing. It's scary to not know what the future will look like. We feel it too.
Nonprofits are not immune to the dangers of this crisis, and many (including ours) have had to figure out how to advance their mission and raise critical mission-supporting dollars in a world where in-person events will be impossible for months and where many in our community are experiencing new levels of financial insecurity.
In moments like these, togetherness matters now more than ever.
The world's biggest issues demand each of us to play a part. Like flattening the curve, your individual everyday actions add up to something bigger.
So once again, I just want to say THANK YOU.
Thank you for joining our LiveYourDream.org community and for doing what you can to support our mission of improving education for women and girls.
I wish you and your loved ones good health, good fortune, and good times that can make these hours a little less heavy.
We're all in this together.

Created in response to the COVID-19 Pandemic, #GivingTuesdayNow is a global day of giving set to take place on May 5, 2020.
These are difficult times for us all—but for women and girls already facing unimaginable hardships, the consequences will be unlike any we’ve seen before.
With lockdowns, school closures, and financial hardships, their challenges are now magnified—affecting their education, well-being, and increasing their risk for domestic violence and abuse.
We need to be prepared when they turn to us for help.
On #GivingTuesdayNow, May 5, 2020, we ask you to join us by helping to raise funds for our global Dream Programs!
By providing better access to education, mentorship, and financial and moral support, your contribution will equip thousands of women and girls to live their dreams!
Show your support by creating a Facebook Fundraiser and unite your friends and family for this global day of giving.
Because in times of uncertainty, one thing remains true—together we can accomplish extraordinary things.
Because of You...
