Letting 10+ million illegals into our country and allowing even one of them to vote is treasonous.
That’s why I proudly co-sponsored the SAVE Act, a game-changing bill that passed in the House this week. This legislation would require folks to provide proof of citizenship when they register to vote in federal elections, and it would also give states access to federal databases so they can clean up their voter rolls and remove illegal aliens.
What a concept, right?
But of course, 198 Democrats voted against this thing, claiming it’s all a conspiracy to prevent black and brown people from voting. They say we’re racist and xenophobic to require a dadgum ID at the polls, but the only racists in this equation are Democrats who think people of color are apparently too inept to go get an ID.
The hard, cruel fact is this: If you’re not an American, you don’t get to choose our nation’s leaders. Democrats don’t like this bill because it would make it harder for them to cheat. They want to use illegal aliens to boost their numbers—and it’s not right.
To no one’s surprise, President Biden has already vowed to veto the bill, and we can’t let that happen. We need to protect Americans’ rights, especially when you consider this is a no-brainer among the people. Recent polling suggests 81% of people support the requirement of a government-issued photo identification before voting.
The Left likes to talk a big game about democracy, but there’s nothing more democratic than upholding the integrity of U.S. elections. Let’s stand strong and ensure that our elections remain fair, transparent, and secure.
We owe it to every American to safeguard their vote and their voice.
