I knew someone had to stand up for the kids who didn’t have enough food to eat, the families who couldn’t afford to pay the rent, and the seniors worried about what the future holds.

And I looked in the mirror one day and realized that someone had to be me.

In Congress, I’ve been a strong voice for everyday Americans by advocating for good-paying jobs, affordable childcare, and high-quality public education.

But my work advocating for our families is far from over.
