Republicans recently enacted a plan to make Georgians pay to vote by mail. Luckily, the U.S. Postal Service stepped up fight back against this unconstitutional obstacle:
AJC: Postal Service will deliver Georgia ballots that lack stamps
That's right -- you don't need a stamp to mail your ballot before our June 9 election.
We're grateful to the USPS for stepping up to defeat this instance of voter suppression -- but for it to help, we need to get the word out.
In the midst of a national pandemic, not everyone is able to head to the Post Office and buy a stamp. And if they don't know they can request and submit their ballot without postage -- they won't vote! That's what Republicans wanted all along.
We need to build the resources to spread this news far and wide. There's going to be a lot of misinformation going around -- pitch in to help us get people reliable info and save this election!
