Our 2024 Ready to Win® training is a wrap! Just last week, we were joined in the heart of Washington, D.C. by a dynamic cohort of leaders representing 15 states and our nation’s capital to take the next step in their political journeys. We are always inspired by our NALpistas and this year was no exception. The talent and energy in the room gives us hope for the future of our democracy ✊🏾✊🏿✊🏼
We cannot wait to see how this cohort continues to shake up politics as usual and paves the way for others to follow in their footsteps.

From setting a precedent for criminalizing homelessness to curtailing the power of federal agencies, the Supreme Court made several consequential rulings that could radically transform American politics and open the door to even more extremist, harmful policies to be passed into law.

Welcome to our new National Director of Women’s and Constituency Programs, Nancy Batista! 🎉
Nancy is a progressive civic mobilizer with experience engaging diverse communities in Arizona, California, Florida, Georgia, Texas, Washington, and nationally through various roles. She previously served at Poder Latinx where she engaged with low-propensity, diverse voters.
As a Guatemalan immigrant who came to the U.S. at a very young age, Nancy was raised in a single-parent home and understands the sacrifices her mother made, working three shifts in different factories to sustain the family. Growing up, her family faced many hurdles due to their immigration status, which now serves as her motivation. Nancy shared, "As a Latina who has dedicated my career to voter empowerment, there are few avenues for progress, and many times we are on our own to sink or swim. We have to lift each other up.”
We are excited to see how she’ll enrich our movement! ❤️
