Governor Murphy recently signed his Fiscal Year 2025 budget — a plan that promotes affordability, fiscal responsibility, and economic opportunity. It’s a budget that continues to restore our state’s fiscal health and well-being as we focus on improving the lives of taxpayers.

Specifically, it includes historic investments in property tax relief, giving over a million of New Jersey renters and homeowners a much-needed break through the ANCHOR (Affordable New Jersey Communities for Homeowners and Renters) and Senior Freeze property tax relief programs.

We’ll also maintain recent expansions of the Earned Income Tax Credit, the Child and Dependent Care Tax Credit, and the Child Tax Credit — the last of which enables families with young children to receive up to $1,000 for each child.

Simply put, that means more money in the taxpayer’s pocket.

The Governor’s clear focus in his budget is on making everyday life more affordable for working families, the middle class, and our seniors. These historic amounts of tax relief are just one way he’s getting the job done.
