John, a new report shows Postmaster General Louis DeJoy’s 10-year plan to “stabilize” the USPS is failing to deliver the cost savings he promised. [1]
But we’re all paying the price for the cuts he’s made with slower service, hiked prices, and a Postal Service that risks letting voters down this November – especially when states are passing new laws to reject ballots that were mailed before Election Day, but arrive after.
That’s why lawmakers and election officials are raising serious concerns – and so are we – because voters deserve a Postal Service that protects our right to vote by mail. [2] But, so far, DeJoy’s response to these concerns has been silence.
Sign the petition to Postmaster General Louis DeJoy: You broke our USPS, what’s your plan to fix it? We DEMAND answers.
Here's the good news: DeJoy is clearly feeling the public pressure – he's already been forced to delay some of his most damaging changes until after the election. [3]
But you know as well as I do that we can't afford to just trust him to do right by voters this year – he needs a concrete plan to get EVERY absentee ballot where it needs to go in time.
This is simple: when a voter mails in their ballot, they deserve to be 100% confident that it will arrive on time and be counted. And, as Postmaster General, DeJoy has a responsibility to make sure the American people can trust his Postal Service with their votes.
John, we MUST demand answers and make sure DeJoy can't use his power to deny our voices in this year's elections. Add your name: DeJoy can’t hide from the truth. Voters deserve answers and a strong, reliable USPS.
Voters, families, and small businesses across the country are relying on the USPS right now – and we can’t let DeJoy’s failed leadership do them any more harm.
Thanks for all you do,
