America continues moving backwards with gun laws

John,

What are we doing?

It was brought to my attention today that grocery stores are now selling bullets.

Yes, you read that correctly. Bullets. Bullets that are capable of taking a human life in an instant.

The same bullets that claimed the lives of over 40,000 Americans in 2023 alone.

And the same bullets that claimed the life of my son Jordan — who was only 17 when he was murdered.

You see, it’s been almost 12 years since my son was killed. And since then, I’ve been fighting tooth and nail to reform our gun laws to protect as many Americans as possible from this carnage.

So to see news like this that indicates we are moving backwards is truly enraging. Rather than making it more difficult to access military-grade weaponry, now we’re selling bullets from vending machines at grocery stores.

That’s right — from vending machines.

I’ve made some major progress by passing legislation like the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act that makes it harder for dangerous people to acquire firearms, but we clearly have a lot more work to do.

So John, I am asking you to help me fight back. Please click the link and donate so that I can keep leading the movement in Congress to end this deadly epidemic of gun violence.

Thanks in advance,

Lucy
