During this year’s legislative session, Governor Moore and the General Assembly passed the Housing and Community Development Financing Act, which created the Maryland Community Investment Corporation (MCIC).
Last week, we held the first board meeting of the MCIC, at which I was elected chair, and we began the process of finding our CEO.
I’m incredibly honored to serve as the chair of the MCIC board and work alongside Secretary Jake Day, Secretary Rebecca Flora, Secretary Kevin Anderson, and Secretary Atif Chaudhry to bring more tax credits to Maryland to increase responsible development in our low-income communities.
You can learn more about the MCIC here! ([link removed])
