Last month, the Supreme Court overruled the longstanding Chevron doctrine, which deferred to experts at agencies like the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to have the final say in interpreting complex laws.

Fossil fuel interests have been plotting to overturn Chevron for decades. Why? Now, unelected judges handpicked by corporate interests can have final say in lifesaving policies protecting our families from pollution and climate change. 

This is a huge setback, but we’re not giving up. We must defend our hard-fought victories and build upon the significant achievements from the Biden Administration and Congress on climate over the last few years.
