Minnesota is in play nationally but the only path to victory is through Minneapolis and Minnesota’s Fifth Congressional District.

After President Biden’s disastrous debate performance, the Cook Political Report shifted Minnesota from “Likely Democrat” to “Lean Democrat.” Minnesota is now one of six states where Cook estimates former President Donald Trump likely picked up an advantage.

The good news is anything is possible in 2024.

The bad news is that Ilhan Omar has a massive financial head start.

Her campaign raised another $1.6 million in the second quarter, ending June with $1.8 million cash on hand.
