I hope you and your family are well! I wanted to provide you with a few updates regarding what’s going on –

Atomic Energy Advancement Act

I’m proud to announce that my once-in-a-generation nuclear reforms have been signed into law.

Recently, I told you that through bicameral, bipartisan efforts Congress passed S.870 which was the vehicle for my Atomic Energy Advancement Act and the Senate’s ADVANCE Act.

On Tuesday, I joined Chair Rodgers and Senator Capito at the White House for the bill signing. I’m proud to have safeguarded America’s energy security and national security.

Stop Voter Interference

America’s border is still not secured because Joe Biden and the Senate refuse to comply with the will of the American people to build the wall.

With illegals pouring across our border with Biden’s Border Crisis, we must protect our Nation by ensuring only US citizens can register to vote!

Congress must ensure any illegals that have been registered to vote are removed from voter rolls by the states. It's time to stop election interference by illegal aliens!

States like Pennsylvania were found to have allowed more than 11,000 non-citizens to register to vote in US elections. This is wrong!

The right to vote should be protected as it is pivotal to protecting our democratic republic.

While the House works to protect the right to vote which is pivotal to protecting our democratic republic, Joe Biden “strongly opposes” HR8281, the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility Act.

For US citizens, it should be easy to vote.

For non-citizens and illegals, it should be hard to cheat.

Anybody want to explain to Joe Biden that opposing the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility Act is un-American? It’s commonsense to require proof of citizenship to register to vote and to purge non-citizens from voting rolls.

I voted YES on Rep. Roy’s bill, the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility Act. Every American must take note of who defends the right to vote and who wants to allow for massive election interference by non-citizens.

Hold Garland Accountable

Because Attorney General Garland refuses to comply with Congressional demands for the release of the audio recordings from Special Counsel Hur’s interviews with Joe Biden, I proudly voted in favor of Rep. Luna’s Resolution to hold Garland in inherent contempt of Congress—which would force him to either comply with Congress or personally pay a fine of $10,000 per day until he releases the Hur interview tapes.

Appliance Efficiency

On Monday night, I testified at the Rules Committee in favor of the Refrigerator Freedom Act and the Stop Unaffordable Dishwasher Standards Act.

The Biden DOE is implementing new efficiency standards that decrease appliance reliability while increasing costs on Americans.

House Republicans are focused on fighting back against the Biden administration’s work to strip you of the freedom to choose appliances that work for you.

Joe Biden’s rush to green policies wage war on the cost of living for Americans. The Biden administration should put affordability and reliability above the interests of the radical climate lobby.

Until Joe Biden gets on the side of everyday Americans, I will fight to ensure the DOE doesn’t make home appliances more expensive.

Biden’s DOE proposes energy efficiency standards that strip away Americans right to choose appliances that work for them and that result in appliances that don’t do the job they were designed to do.

Americans know first-hand that these efficiency standards fail to protect affordability or to preserve quality of life for Americans.

While Americans take practical steps to wisely use their appliances, the DOE and other agencies in the Biden administration waste electricity and misuse resources.

We don’t need big government making more regulations. If the Government gets out of the way, the market will dictate efficiency changes that will be affordable and better the quality of life for Americans. This is a proven process that works.

On the other hand, big Government and increased regulation has been proven to not be in the best interest of Americans.

Here's the bottom line, government overreach and overregulation result in appliances that don’t work and burdensome costs on Americans. Biden’s DOE is rushing to green and hurting everyday Americans.

Combatting China's Illegal Dumping of Imports

On Monday, I led a letter to Secretary of Commerce Raimondo and U.S. International Trade Commission Chair Karpel to combat China’s illegal dumping of top mount refrigerator-freezers into the US through Thailand.

Chinese companies in Thailand are circumventing Section 301 duties on China and dumping low-priced imports in the US market, making it impossible for US refrigerator producers (like Electrolux in Anderson, SC) to compete and putting US jobs at risk.

Protect Women's' Sports

Men should not compete in women’s sports. End of Story.

H.J. Res. 165 will reverse Biden’s Title IX rule that forces women and young girls to accept biological men not only into women’s sports but also into women’s locker rooms.

I oppose Biden’s Title IX rule that puts a biological man into your granddaughter’s locker room and bathroom. Congress must pass H.J. Res. 165 to keep women and girls safe in their locker rooms.

Joe Biden’s Title IX rule forces innocent, young girls to share a locker room and bathroom with a biological man.

Why does Joe Biden want to force a young girl to see a male changing in their locker room.

Stop the perversion and let kids be kids!

Stop the Import of Obscenities

Congress must pass my bill, the JUSTICE Act, to stop the import of child-like sex dolls. Great Britain and Australia already ban these obscenities.

Every Member of Congress should vote to prohibit the importation and transport of child-like sex dolls that predator networks use as training tools on abuse victims.

Legislative Action

I cosponsored H.R. 8985, Rep. Andy Ogles’ bill, which establishes conditions for enforcement of surrogacy contracts.

I cosponsored H.J. Res 182, Rep. Jim Banks’ resolution, that expresses congressional disapproval of a proposed DHS rule creating foster home placement requirements for LGBTQ+ children.

I cosponsored H.R. 8928, Rep. August Pfluger’s bill, that provides a framework to prevent agencies from overstepping Constitutional boundaries in the wake of the Chevron Deference Supreme Court decision.

I cosponsored H.R. 8857, Rep. Jim Banks’ bill, that aims to make changes to the Public Health Service Act in order to disallow discrimination towards companies that may object to abortion based on conscience, as well as strengthen federal conscience laws overall.

I cosponsored H.R. 8855, Rep. Bob Good’s bill, that outlaws abortion at the federal level.

In the District

Recently, the Belton Police Department officially became part of the Anderson County Sheriff's Office. This change will allow Deputies to still patrol Belton, but with greater resources and support from the Sheriff's Office. Sheriff McBride did note that this change will guarantee "24-hour coverage" for Belton.

Congratulations to the Fountain Inn Chamber of Commerce on celebrating 70 years of serving their local community. The Chamber works to support businesses and tourism for the city.

Iva will soon have a new library! The former Iva fire station is being converted into a library due to efforts from the town and the Anderson County Library. Iva is bringing about this new library branch with zero cost to local citizens.
