The latest on what's happening with right-of-center women   Weekly Wrap July 12, 2024   This Week's Highlights   Monday WFW PAC-backed Lori Buckhout, who is challenging liberal incumbent Rep. Don Davis (NC-01) in Eastern North Carolina, called out Democrats for their failure to secure the border. Buckhout, GOP Conference Chairwoman Elise Stefanik, and many other Republican women have been putting a spotlight on the wave of violent crimes committed by illegal immigrants all across the country. Tuesday Winning For Women Action Fund announced a major investment to support WFW PAC-backed candidate Leslie Lewallen (WA-03) in her bid to unseat first-term Democrat Rep. Marie Gluesenkamp Perez. This is a conservative-leaning district, and if Leslie has the opportunity to take on Gluesenkamp Perez instead of failed candidate Joe Kent, she can definitely win it back. Wednesday Rep. Ashley Hinson (IA-02) spoke out about a piece of commonsense legislation that House Republicans passed this week. The SAVE Act would only allow U.S. citizens to vote in elections. All but 5 House Democrats voted NO. Thursday We highlighted a recent victory for one of our WFW PAC-backed candidates, Julie Fedorchak, in North Dakota's At-Large Congressional District. Julie has been a strong advocate for reliable and affordable energy for years, and with their votes, North Dakotans have made clear they want that same effective leadership in Washington. We have been thrilled to back Julie's campaign and look forward to continuing that support through the general election!   In The News   The New York Times: As Biden Struggles, The Fight For The House Takes On New Importance Politico: Biden support slips in deep blue New York: ‘We’re a battleground state now’ Deseret News: Maloy ahead of Jenkins by 214 votes — recount now likely in Utah’s 2nd Congressional District race New York Post: Rep.
