We have an incapable president, not a wrong one, one simply incapable of doing the job.  While SCOTUS is busy trying to dismantle the Administrative State, we see a purely administrative White House emerging as its titular head is simply not up to the job at least part of the time.  I really don’t want to think about what would happen if a committee has to make a decision about something immediate and massively consequential, but here we are.  His reticence to leave office in the face of immense pressure is reminiscent of old European kings.  That which we founded the nation to avoid seems to be where we are.  It is worrisome, but it is also the state of affairs for the moment.  So perhaps we need to think about other things, at least today.
