This is The Drug Report’s Friday Fact report - 2022 Survey Shows 40% of Past-Month Marijuana Users in Minnesota Reported Smoking Daily or Near Daily

The Minnesota 2022 Cannabis Report, from the International Cannabis Policy Study, led by the University of Waterloo, featured survey results from the Nielsen Consumer Insights Global Panel. In this survey, respondents aged 16 to 65 were asked about their marijuana-related behaviors and perceptions:

 

Percentage of Marijuana Users in Minnesota Reporting Their Frequency of Marijuana Use in the Past-Month in 2022 

  • 1-5 days: 31.4% 

  • 6-10 days: 12.8% 

  • 11-15 days: 7.1% 

  • 16-20 days: 8.9% 

  • 21-30 days: 39.8% 

 

On July 1st, 2022, Minnesota legalized THC edibles and beverages. The state then fully legalized all types of marijuana on August 1st, 2023.
