Dear John,

While confined to our homes, we've been encouraging our staff to appreciate the nature in their own backyards, and hope you're able to do the same. As a testament to our continued commitment to wildlife across North America, we are also stepping up our opportunities for you to interact with us digitally.

I invite you to join me for an exclusive webinar next Tuesday, April 28 at 3pm MDT focused on the successes of our state policy work. Wildlands Network has been spearheading efforts towards science-driven policies that safeguard critical habitat for wildlife at a continental scale. In past 18 months we've had particular momentum, with bills successfully passing in the U.S. states of Oregon, Utah, New Mexico and Virginia! Tune in to learn more about the steps that went into these state policy successes, and how this progress contributes to our overarching vision of continent-wide connected habitat for wildlife.

We recognize that now, more than ever, sustaining a healthy and biodiverse natural world is paramount—and that the best way to accomplish that is maintaining a big picture perspective and approach to our work. Thanks as always for your support, and please consider donating to the Sustain the Wild Fund to support long-term projects.

Despite Coronavirus, Trump’s Border Wall Continues

Our Borderlands Program Coordinator, Myles Traphagen, is based Tucson, Arizona and has worked on the U.S.- Mexico border for 20 years. Myles' work channeling collaborative efforts to maintain and restore habitat for species like jaguar, black bear and Sonoran pronghorn have been featured in both the Washington Post and National Geographic. But recently, he's also observed a dire human threat posed by the border wall: the transmission of COVID-19 as construction of the border wall continues amidst the pandemic.
