Hello Friend,

Our “fight” continues against coronavirus: in homeless shelter cafeterias, senior center hallways, mobile meal trucks, and many other places where you'll find Volunteers of America doing whatever it takes to protect the safety and health of the people we're serving now.

Join the fight: provide emergency relief and care during COVID-19.

Give now to COVID relief

I’ll be honest. We’re facing some serious developments right now, as reports come in from the field about greatly-expanded service needs or possible downsizing/closing programs. ACTION is crucial to meet urgent local needs. We didn't wait. We responded and are serving approximately 370,000 people every day, people already suffering--homeless, hungry, or mentally struggling--before the crisis of COVID-19.

Below are just a few examples of the innovation and resilience of VOA COVID-19 response teams around the country, ONLY possible because of supporters like YOU…

… In Spokane, WA, we expanded the labor force at our emergency shelter, Hope House;
… just like we did in Baton Rouge, LA, for a childcare program that spiked markedly in signups.
… We innovated across Texas programs so that despite government-mandated lockdowns, our developmentally disabled seniors would not be alone.
…We distributed meals for children and families in Denver, CO, converting an education center into a community food pantry.

COVID-19 is no match for a fiercely unified network of healthcare workers on the front lines and you, our VOA supporters alongside them. We’re in this together, because others need us to be.

Thank you for what you can give.

Sincerely,
Mike King
President and CEO, Volunteers of America

P.S. There are brighter days ahead. But for now, show your fierce compassion and donate for those in need in the COVID-19 crisis. Consider a monthly donation, that provides continuous care.
