Chair's Corner

Subject: Important Updates and Call to Action for Hawaii Republican Party Members

Aloha Members,

I hope this message finds you well. I am currently in Milwaukee for the summer meeting with the RNC and the 168 person delegation of State chairs and National Committee members. We are also constantly updated on the preparations for the upcoming Republican National Convention, where excited to officially nominate Donald Trump as our presidential candidate. The meetings have been exceptionally productive, focusing on important goals such as enhancing voting integrity, increasing voter turnout, and safeguarding the ballot. Chair Mike Whatley and co chair Lara Trump have urged us to commit to these critical initiatives, and I am reaching out to each member to encourage your active involvement. Please visit www.protectthevote.com for more information. A dedicated site for Hawaii will be available soon. Remember, change can only occur when we all come together and take action.

It was an honor to witness the approval of the platforms crafted by President Donald Trump himself. These platforms will serve as invaluable tools for all candidates to leverage in driving their campaigns forward.

As we eagerly anticipate the Republican National Convention and the exciting activities planned, I would like to address some recent rumors regarding the auction for convention tickets. Let me clarify that the auction was not rigged that has been claimed. While we faced time constraints that affected the outcome, all tickets were rightfully distributed. Three ticket winners received three out of the four tickets, and one ticket was given to the wife of our newly elected National Committeeman to enjoy the festivities with her husband. The State Chair, National Committeeman and National Committeewoman received an allocation of tickets. The only tickets used in the auction were those allocated to the State Chair.

The intention behind offering the extra tickets as auction items was two-fold; One, as a fundraising opportunity for the state party; and two, to provide our members, who wished to participate in the National Convention, an avenue to do so. This was communicated at the State Convention in May.

We really must stress the importance of better communication and unity within our party. Let us focus on celebrating our victories and supporting our talented candidates, rather than engaging in divisive assumptions and false accusations. Such things distract from our common goal of getting conservatives elected and changing the state of our state.

Our RNC Chair, Mike Whatley, emphasizes the urgency of coming together, supporting Donald Trump's re-election, and ensuring voter integrity. Let us unite in our efforts to build a stronger and more cohesive party. I look forward to your continued support and active participation in our party's initiatives. Together, we can achieve great things for our party and our country.
