While this is definitely reason for cautious optimism, we should always keep in mind that there are going to be a lot of polls between now and Election Day, and the horse race will shift around quite a bit.
If one poll has you feeling discouraged, just remember that not a single pollster came close to predicting the result last time Ted squeaked to victory against Beto O’Rourke.
Here’s the truth: Colin Allred can win this race and send Ted Cruz to an early retirement, but it’s going to take a massive, statewide grassroots movement to make it happen.
