John, ICYMI: Our opponent, Congressman Chaos Scott Perry was appointed by House Speaker Mike Johnson to oversee the FBI. But this isn’t his first run-in with the FBI. FIRST: Scott Perry was “central to the planning” of the January 6th insurrection. His claims of election fraud and spread of 2020’s “Big Lie” led to the FBI seizing Perry’s phone. A federal judge ordered Perry to turn over hundreds of texts and emails to the FBI for investigation.

NEXT: Scott Perry filed a lawsuit against the DOJ to request his phone data back from the FBI — later dismissing the case with no explanation.

THEN: Despite getting his phone seized by the FBI, spreading misinformation about the 2020 election, and suing the DOJ, he has now been appointed to oversee the FBI. Perry will now oversee the entire intelligence community and will receive some of the most sensitive intelligence about our country.

NOW: July is historically slow fundraising-wise, and our numbers are showing it. We cannot afford to slow down now, because the new overseer of the FBI is who we’re up against. And with the RNC right around the corner, we have to be prepared for right-wing donors to pour millions into the pockets of the NRCC and Scott Perry.
