Hey John — my name is Eric, and I’m reaching out today because Jane thought you’d be interested in the work we’re doing over at Project Super Bloom. Project Super Bloom is an organization working to elect young and progressive candidates to the California State Legislature. Jane and I share a vision for a better future, one where future generations aren’t burdened with the weight of the climate crisis.
As a California-based PAC, all of us at Team Super Bloom are witnessing the impacts of the climate crisis in real time. From floods this past winter that devastated entire communities to living in a near-constant wildfire season, climate change will only get worse unless we take action. Reversing the effects of climate change means electing progressive champions who are unafraid to take a stand against the corporate interests who got us into this disaster — and that work starts with centering the young people who have the most at stake in the conversation. That’s why Project Super Bloom’s approach is twofold: we support candidates who will stand up for our planet’s future on day one, and we fund paid positions for students and young organizers on their campaigns, ensuring young people have a voice in the decision-making process.
