Something special happened in New Orleans recently, John. Did you hear about it?
Our vice president, Kamala Harris, has been traveling the country talking to Americans everywhere about what's at stake at the ballot box this year. Here's what she had to say at Essence Fest in New Orleans last week about the Supreme Court and our rights:
"The former president, who wants to be president again, hand selected three members of the United States Supreme Court with the intention that they would undo the protections of Roe v. Wade. And they did as he intended. The court of Thurgood and RBG took a most fundamental right: the right to make decisions about your own body… Understand that the former president, who is up for reelection, has said he is proud of what has happened; the fact that our daughters will have fewer rights than their grandmothers."
