Hi friend,
Currently, our legislators are working full-time in Harrisburg to finish negotiations of our state’s budget – aka how our state plans to spend its revenues and our taxpayer dollars over the next year.
In PA, each new state budget carries with it some great funding opportunities for our environment and natural resources, but it often includes not-so-great provisions as well. There are a lot of critical issues and programs that need funding this year, including restoring and protecting our waterways, ensuring voting access is equitable for all Pennsylvanians, catching up on the backlog of mine cleanup projects, and ensuring that environmental justice communities get dedicated funding.
Join us Wednesday, July 24th at 6:00 pm as our policy experts and Rep. Elizabeth Fiedler break down what the final budget means for our environment. |
Feel free to pass this invite along to anyone else you think might be interested!
Looking forward to seeing you on July 24th,
