The Evergreen Action Plan charted the way forward in 2020, and we can do it again in 2024
Hi—
As we barrel toward November 2024, it's worth remembering where we were just four years ago.
While Donald Trump was presiding over a corrupt administration and eviscerating bedrock environmental protections, a smaller and scrappier version of Evergreen was turning Jay Inslee's "gold standard" climate policies into an open-source Action Plan with movement partners that laid out the comprehensive steps the next president needed to take to advance bold climate policy, rebuild the economy, and protect frontline communities.
Fast forward to the present day, and you might be surprised at just how much of that Evergreen Action Plan the Biden-Harris administration has made progress on.
How much progress do you think the Biden-Harris administration has made on the Evergreen Action Plan's historic roadmap to climate action? Click through to find out. 👇

We've come a long way in four years. We helped secure hundreds of billions of dollars in transformative investments through the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA). We helped share the strongest-ever climate and public health rules for the power sector. We helped establish the Justice40 initiative, directing 40% of clean energy investment benefits to frontline communities. And we helped create the American Climate Corps—just to a name a few things.
See how the Biden administration took note and delivered when the climate movement made clear demands.
The climate crisis remains before us, and soon America will face a choice: the greatest climate administration in U.S. history, or the lying, convicted felon who is soliciting billions from Big Oil to reverse our progress.
Evergreen will be releasing a new Action Plan soon, where we map out the opportunities for continued climate leadership in a second Biden administration. It is a plan to avoid the worst of the climate crisis while unleashing new opportunities for everyday Americans—like lower costs, more good-paying jobs, and greater justice in the clean energy economy we all deserve.
And if you're wondering why we’re putting in all this effort (including working with partners and experts from across the climate and clean energy movement to make sure all of our recommendations are just right), consider just how much was accomplished the last time we set out a bold, actionable roadmap to a better shared future.
In solidarity,
Team Evergreen
