I wanted to remind you about an incident from our last election. Not long after putting up new signs in our district, they were completely vandalized.
It was incredibly frustrating to see our field team’s hard work be immediately undone.
This experience taught me an important lesson though: we must be prepared for all types of attacks, including threats like these. It makes me sad, but extremists will stop at nothing to win.
That’s why I wanted to reach out to you today. We know more dirty attacks are coming this year. Right now all our money is going to combat the negative TV ads. But we also need to build a budget for replacing vandalized signs.
I hate that our politics have gotten this dirty, but we have to be prepared.
